Skruf SuperWhite: Nordic - Review. 10 February 2020.

Skruf has launched a new product in their SuperWhite nicotine pouch line: Skruf SuperWhite Nordic! With this release, Skruf is expanding their all white/nicotine pouch line to now include the popular flavor of licorice!  I was excited about this one, because it's regular strength.  Lyft's Licorice nicotine pouch is at the strong level.  If you're just tuning in and not familiar with nicotine pouches, I'll do a quick explanation.  These are products that are similar to snus, except they don't contain tobacco.  These nicotine pouches are a good alternative for people who may want to quit using tobacco, but continue to enjoy nicotine. The flavor description for this one says it is a "slim, all white portion with elements of mint and licorice." Each can weighs 17.3g and has 24 portions for 0.72g portions. The nicotine content is 2/4, which would put it around the 8mg/g level.

Here's a shot of what's inside the pouch.  Pictured here is a different product in the Skruf SuperWhite line.  These products are moist, and feel like snus, but are different from regular snus.  Inside the pouch you'll find what looks like white tobacco, but isn't actually tobacco. This product contains plant fibers and nicotine. It feels like tobacco, looks like tobacco (other than being white), and feels like a snus portion in the lip, but isn't actually tobacco.

When you open the can, you’re greeted by a present black licorice smell. The portions are slim, and quite soft! There’s a mild cooling sensation under the lip when you put one in, as well. The flavor is a gentle, balanced taste of black licorice. There’s a cooling presence to the flavor, but it’s not minty. It’s more refreshing. I’m usually not a fan of blending mint and licorice, but this one doesn’t tasty minty, so it works for me. The nicotine feels to be at the regular strength level, and the flavor lasts about 45 minutes on average.  As someone who enjoys the taste of licorice, I really enjoyed this one.  If you're a nicotine pouch fan who also enjoys that flavor, check this one out!
