Skruf Super White Chew Bags: Cassice #3 - Review (Discontinued). 12 November 2019.

NOTE:  This product has been discontinued and is no longer for sale.

Skruf has released two new all white products for the EU: Skruf Super White Chew Bags! Today, we're talking about one with a flavor I really enjoy - black currant!  I've reviewed the snus version of this one in the past, except that one was a #2 strength (regular) and this one is a #3 strength (strong).  What's also interesting about these is that nicotine pouches are legal in the EU, so Skruf didn't technically need to call these "chew bags", but they did anyway for some reason.  When it comes to the flavor description for this one it says, “Skruf Super White Cassice #3 All White Chew Bags has prominent taste of blackcurrant and a slight sweetness.”  Each can weighs 18.7g and has 22 portions for 0.85g portions.  The nicotine strength is 3/4, which means it is a strong product.  If I had to guess, it’s probably between 12-14mg/g.

Here's a look at what is inside the pouch. Skruf's Superwhite products are completely free from tobacco, but still contain nicotine. This product actually contains plant fiber instead of nicotine. Again, I'm not sure why they called this product a "chew bag", as nicotine pouches are legal. These nicotine pouch products are a good alternative for people who may want to quit tobacco, but not quit nicotine. By using these, they can still enjoy nicotine, but are free from tobacco.

When you open the can, the aroma is a present smell of black currant with a light touch of menthol. When I first heard about this one, I wasn't too excited about mixing menthol/mint with black currant, but it's honestly not bad with this one. The portions are slim, soft, and comfortable to the touch. They also come with a nice cooling presence in the lip! The flavor is black currant, which comes through in a natural, lightly sweet way. The menthol isn't as detectable, and doesn't overpower the flavor of black currant. The flavor, on average, lasts about 40-50 minutes. The nicotine level feels to be right around the strong level.  This is a great tasting product, and one I definitely suggest checking out!  The menthol doesn't really overpower the blackcurrant, and the flavor works out really well.
