V2 Tobacco has released a new mint snus, and it isn't one in their exiting Frosted or Cool Mint lineup. This is a brand new product with a brand new flavor: Thunder Sweet Mint (Slim White Dry). V2 describes the flavor as "
Sweet mint/menthol". The only website I've seen this for sale at is
MSorensen.no and they describe it as having "
a sweet tangy flavor of mint".
This snus has a 15.4 gram can weigh with 22 portions, for 0.7 gram portions. The nicotine is 1.6% or 16mg/g. That comes out to 11.2mg/portion. The can design is a new look, as well. It has the usual Thunder logo, but the rest of the graphics and design looks completely different. For some reason, this can design makes me think of
David Bowie's Aladdin Sane album. I'm sure some you know what I'm talking about.
When you open the can, the aroma is much like
Thunder Cool Mint (Slim White Dry), a personal favorite of mine. However, the peppermint aroma is a bit more sharp. When you put a portion in you'll encounter a mild burn and a gentle cooling presence. The portions are dryer than your average white portion, but don't feel too uncomfortable in the lip. The flavor is a sharp peppermint taste that comes through with more sweetness than Thunder Cool Mint. One thing I like about this one is that I can also taste tobacco in the background, which isn't common of most mint snus products. The nicotine kick is also quite strong! Even though I mentioned above that it's only 11.2mg/portion, it feels quite strong. This snus definitely kicks like an extra strong. The flavor lasts quite a long time as well, which is common of the white dry format. I'm able to enjoy this snus for up to almost 2 hours, which is very impressive!
If you're a fan of mint snus, and like a sweeter peppermint flavor, this is one to be on the lookout for!
