Oden's No3 (Original Portion) - Review. 30 October 2013.

Review Updated: 4 June 2020

It's been quite a few years since I've reviewed this one.  Due to a new law in Sweden, they're mandating snus have at least 20 portions per can.  Most Odens products have traditionally had less than that, so with the new upgrade in portion count, I figured it was time for a new review!  SnusMe.com carries most of the Odens products and ships to the US, so I grabbed a ton of them on a recent order so I could do new reviews of them. Today, we're talking about an Oden's product with a traditional flavor - Oden's No3 (Original Portion), a regular strength Oden's product! Yes, they do make those.  The flavor description for this one says, "A normal strength portion with a traditional taste of tobacco and a hint of bergamot".  Each can weighs 20g and now contains 20 portions, for 1g portions.  The nicotine content is 9mg/g (0.9%), or 9mg/portion.

This is a more complex snus than most Odens products; it has a lot going on. In the aroma, I pick up tobacco, a light smokiness, some leather tones, a gentle citrus, and a touch of pine. The portions are nice and plump, and feel great under the lip! The flavor is really interesting, and has a lot going on. The tobacco character is slightly spicy, earthy, and smoky in nature. There are light hints of citrus, along with gentle hints of leather, and pine. This one is not really focused on the citrus, so I wouldn't call it traditional, but there is a light citrus to it. The nicotine strength feels to be right at the regular level, and the flavor lasts about 45 minutes on average. It was fun revisiting this one and giving it a second look. Honestly, it's more complex than I recall. It's quite a tasty snus.
