Oden's Cold (Extreme Loose) - Review. 17 June 2020.

It's been about 6 years since I've had this one, and I've never done a video on it, so I figured it was time to give it a fresh review! What's interesting about this one is that it is, currently, the only mint loose snus on the market. As popular as mint is, it's surprising there aren't more of them.  I found it on SnusDirect.com, which seems to be the only store shipping this particular snus to the US.  The flavor description for this snus says it has "a mint flavour combined with a strong and rich tobacco taste".  Each can weighs 40 grams and has a nicotine content of 22mg/g (2.2%).  With loose, the strength really depends on how big you bake your prillas!  With a half gram prilla, you get 11mg of nicotine.  With a 1 gram prilla, you get 22mg of nicotine.  That's one of the great things about loose, how flexible it is.

When you open the can, the aroma of spearmint greets you. It's mild, lightly sweet, and accompanied by a gentle tobacco character. The loose itself is easy to work with and handbakes quite easily. It's a pretty well balanced flavor. The spearmint taste is present, but not overpowering. It's lightly sweet, but not overly so. The tobacco flavor stays in the background and serves as a nice compliment to the minty taste. I usually back 1-2 gram prillas, and with my 1 gram prillas of this stuff I feel quite a kick. Also, the loose stays well packed in the lip for up to 45 minutes or so, and I can enjoy full flavor the whole time!  If you're into loose snus and you want one with a mint flavor, you really don't have a choice, this is it.  At least it tastes good!
