In gratitude to the Petro Poroshenko 5th President of Ukraine. "Porokh" is the military call sign of Petro Poroshenko. It is created from the first half of his last name. In addition, "Porokh" is translated as "Gunpowder", which explains a lot. Considering that before his presidency, Petro Poroshenko created and managed the "Roshen" - the best of confectionery factory, the most popular cake made at the confectionery factory was taken as a taste of snus. The cake is called “Kyiv”. The cake has two airy layers of meringue with hazelnuts, chocolate glaze, and a buttercream-like filling. All this is present in the "Porokh" snus.”

When you open the can, the aroma is a sweet, almost pastry like aroma. I pick up hints of nut, and a mild, earthy tobacco character. The loose itself is moist, soft, and comes with a quick flavor release. The combo grind isn't as easy to bake as regular loose snus, but it isn't too hard once you pick up the learning curve. The taste is a light, sweet taste with hints of nut, a light chocolatey tone, and some creaminess. The tobacco comes through with a milder, more gentle nature. The nicotine feels to be around the strong level, and the flavor lasts about 45-50 minutes on average. It's an interesting loose. For me, this would be a good dessert loose, or something to use after a good meal. It has a very unique flavor, one I haven't ever tasted in a snus before!
