In 2017, I reviewed Jakobsson's Chew (Original and Wild Mint) by Gotlandssnus. I recently saw on TaxFreeSnus.com that there were two new ones: Peach and Melon! I enjoy Jakobsson's Melon Snus quite a bit, and I also enjoyed Jakobsson's Peach Snus when it was released as a limited edition in 2018. Both of these products have similar tastes to those! These two products are also the strongest made by Gotlandssnus, clocking in at 21mg/g of nicotine in each one! These products aren't available to the US, as they are "Nordic Chew"/chewing tobacco/chew bag products for the EU market. If you want to know more about what Nordic Chew is, check out this video I made on the subject. Basically, these products are made the same as snus, but the tobacco is cut instead of ground, and the portion material is a little thicker so you can technically chew it, though I never do - I just use it like snus. But these two minor changes, and calling the product "chewing tobacco", make it legal in the EU where snus is banned. I know, it's crazy, but that's the EU.
Jakobsson's Melon Chew: Ultra Strong
The flavor description for this product says, "Jakobsson's Ultra Strong Melon Nordic Chew has a soft but clear and sweet taste of melon with hints of menthol". This product comes in a 20 gram can with 20 portions for 1 gram portions. The nicotine content is 21mg/g (2.1%), which, with one gram portions, breaks down to 21mg/portion.
If you've had Jakobsson's Melon Snus before, this product is a lot like that one. When you open the can, the aroma is a present, sweet, fresh smell of melon. The portions are nice and plump and feel comfortable in the lip! The snus version of this doesn't have any menthol, so it was interesting to read that this one does. I did notice a mild cooling presence in the lip when I put one in, but not as strong as with mint snus. I also didn't notice any menthol in the taste. The favor is a present, natural, fruity flavor of melon. It has a nice amount of sweetness to it, so if you like sweet snus you'll dig this one. The nicotine kick is quite strong, and hits in less than 10 minutes. It feels firmly at the extra strong level! The flavor, on average, lasts about 45 minutes.

Like the last one, if you've had the Jakobsson's Peach Snus before, this one is a lot like that one. The aroma is a sweet, natural smell of peach. The portions are plump, soft, and quite comfortable in the lip. The snus version of this one didn't have menthol in it, so I was interested to try this one, as well. I didn't notice menthol in the taste, but I did notice a mild cooling presence in the lip, like with the last one. The flavor is a natural, sweet taste of peach. I really enjoyed the snus, and was sad that it went away, so it was nice to taste this one! The nicotine kick is quite strong, and feels firmly at the extra strong level. Both of these were tasty products, and I'm glad I got to try them. If you're in the EU and like the taste of melon or peach, these are worth checking out!
