Salt badly raises blood pressure -- even more than nicotine. For people who keep an eye on their blood pressure -- which includes virtually all people over age 60 -- the heavy salt is too much. E-cigs led me to find out about snus, and now i am enjoying both, with no desire or want to go back to cigarettes. I'm liking the snus even better, but I think ecigs/vaporizers also work well, feels like smoking. I am glad I have at least found General brand snus so far locally, and pretty easily. Both at certain gas stations, and tobacco shops. I think it is great! They have coupons you can print on their website, too. It's very cheap here. I vow to never try American "snus", it would just feel wrong after having the real thing.
