Skruf Polar Stark White - Review. 14 October 2013.

Review Updated: 16 February 2019

It's been almost 6 years since I've reviewed this product. Honestly, I haven't had it since the last time I reviewed it. But, the Skruf line recently went through a redesign so I've been revisiting the entire Skruf range! I don't use a lot of eucalyptus/menthol snus, except when I have a cold. Usually, I use Catch Eucalyptus, which is a regular strength product. However, it's nice to know there's something stronger out there for those who like this sort of thing. The flavor description for this snus says, "Skruf Slim Polar White Portion Snus has a mild tobacco flavor with clear tones of eucalyptus and licorice." This product comes in a 16.8g can with 24 portions for 0.7g portions. The nicotine content is a 3/4 on the can, which means it’s going to be tween 12mg/g-14mg/g.

When you open the can, the aroma that you’ll notice is mostly eucalyptus and menthol, but there’s a mild tobacco flavor in the background. The portion is soft to the touch, but a little dryer then the average white portion. When you put a portion under your lip you’ll also notice a mild cooling presence. The flavor is much like the aroma, a mild eucalyptus and menthol flavor. The longer you have it in, the more you’ll notice a gentle tobacco character in the background. The nicotine feels a little stronger than regular strength, but it’s not too overbearing. The flavor, on average, lasts about an hour.  While this isn't the sort of snus I use full time, it is something I would consider using when I have a cold.  If you're into this flavor profile, give it a try.  Especially if you like stronger products, as it is the only one (as of the date of this writing) that has that flavor and a stronger nicotine kick!
